Adult Individual Therapy

You’ve Handled This Alone Long Enough
Mental and emotional pain runs deep.
The pain consumes your thoughts, drains your energy, and follows you through your ordinary days.
You’ve tried to find relief on your own, and it hasn’t been enough.
You tell yourself you should be able to handle it, push through it, deal with it.
Asking for Help Takes More Courage Than You Think
Something inside you knows you’ve had enough. When continuing this way feels impossible, reaching out becomes the necessary step.
Sometimes the pain becomes more frightening than the thought of asking for help.
I applaud your courage, and I say that as someone who has sat in that chair myself.
Bring Whatever Brought You Here
Life gets difficult in a lot of different ways.
- Anxiety
- Relationship challenges
- Self-esteem and confidence
- Grief and loss
- Adoption-related concerns
- Boundaries and communication
- Life transitions
If anxiety or grief brought you here, I’ve written more about both.
For everything else, and for what doesn’t have a tidy name yet, this is where we start.
Your Sessions Will Bring Clarity, Insight, and Relief
As we build rapport and a sense of safety, the work goes deeper. We’ll use my clinical skill and your honesty to explore the questions that brought you to therapy.
We’ll look for paths through the pain, not around it.
Expect laughter, tears, metaphors, and real-life experiences along the way.
Work With What Helps You
I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. Together, we’ll identify what helps you most.
Person-Centered Therapy means you’re unconditionally respected and valued from the moment you reach out.
When it’s useful, I’ll offer gentle redirection, point out inconsistencies, and use humor and metaphor to keep you moving.
I’m solution-focused, and I don’t want you in therapy longer than you need to be.

Therapy Comes to You
We meet by telehealth, private and confidential. I was skeptical once.
For many people, I’ve found it as effective as sitting in the same room.
It takes travel time, transportation, and scheduling out of the equation. You do the work from your favorite chair, with a warm cup of something nearby.
Take Stock, Then Decide How You Want the Rest to Look
Over time, you’ll notice real changes in how you see yourself and move through the world. You’ll communicate more clearly, hold steadier boundaries, and stand as an equal in your relationships.
Hard moments will still come, and you’ll have ways to stay calmer inside them.
Most of all, you’ll begin to like the person you see in the mirror.
Dust Off Those Old Dreams
It’s time to wake up and start dreaming again.
