About Therapy with Me

You’ve Decided the Time Has Come to Do Something Different
If you’re reading this, you’re looking for a therapist to walk beside you. So trust your instincts.
That quiet voice that tells you when something fits is worth listening to, and it’s the same voice that will tell you when you’ve found the right person to do this work with.
Most people don’t reach out the moment things get hard. They reach out when the issue has grown bigger than they can hold on their own. When it’s pressing on relationships, interfering with days, and keeping them awake at night.
You’ve tried everything you know how to try, and you’ve come to the honest realization that this is more than you can solve alone. That realization isn’t a failure. It’s the beginning of something changing.
What Working Together Actually Feels Like
Therapy with me is both an eye-opening and a heart-opening experience. We’ll share laughter and tears, sometimes in the same session. This is a place where you get to show up exactly as you are, without masks or pretense, and be accepted without judgment.
I’m warm, approachable, and direct. I care deeply about the people I work with, and I won’t waste your time pretending the work is something other than what it is.
What would it feel like to move forward with that kind of honesty behind you?
The Relationship Is Where the Real Work Happens
The fit between us is what makes the change possible. When you trust the person across from you, you can dig deeper than you would on your own.
You can count on me to listen and truly hear you. To reinforce what’s working and redirect what isn’t. To point out the inconsistencies and the patterns that keep tripping you up, and to offer honest suggestions and constructive feedback when they’ll help.
Confidentiality, respect, and commitment are the ground we stand on. Everything else builds from there.
I’m also solution-focused. I’m not the kind of therapist who wants you in the chair for five years if you don’t need to be. The goal is for you to feel better in ways that are meaningful and lasting, and then to go live the life that’s now possible.
About Betsy Rosander, LMHC, NCC

Prepared to Walk Beside You Until You Find a Firmer Foundation
I earned my Master of Science degree from Nova Southeastern University in 1998 and became a Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor and National Certified Counselor in 2001. I have been practicing since 1998.
My journey began as a client myself, experiencing firsthand the transformative power of working with the right therapist. I know how much can change when the client and therapist share a common goal and work together to achieve it.
An unexpected benefit of therapy has been my ability to become fully present and find joy in everyday life. I love caring for my plants and gardens, collecting shells at the beach, and making art, activities that were unimaginable to me before therapy.
It awakened me, encouraged me to think beyond my limits, and gave me the confidence to try new things. Additionally, over the years, therapy and life have taught me to have a sense of humor and not take myself too seriously.
I strive to bring all these qualities into every session, every time.
What If a Year From Now Looked Different?
What if you do nothing? How will your life look and feel twelve months from today?
Now picture the other version. What if you invest in yourself and focus on a real solution instead of a temporary fix? What could your life look and feel like a year from now?
Nothing changes if nothing changes.
When you’re ready, please reach out to schedule your free consultation or your first session. There’s no pressure here; just a conversation about where you are and whether I’m the right person to do this work with you.
